Rick Isenhower, developer of Lynn Lea Estates, is a life long resident of Boone County and active in social and economic affairs.  Rick realized that the qualities of life that he and his family have enjoyed as residents of the county are attributes that many families are currently seeking.   Newcomers are looking for an exceptional quality of life atmosphere, as well as social and community events throughout the year, that create a wonderful place to live.  Boone County offers a spectacular week long Independence Day celebration, annual Home and Garden shows, an outstanding 4-H program, County and Chamber of Commerce events, Christmas Charity walks thru beautiful historic homes, an annual Polo event, a Farmer’s Market and many other community events.

With the anticipation of future growth that is forthcoming to Boone County, a business venture by Duke Realty with the Anson project, which will facilitate many benefits over the coming years by bringing commerce and availability of retail to the community. The Boone County Economic Development committee concluded that there was a definite need for the development of an upscale neighborhood in their area for the CEO’s and Executives managing the emerging commerce.

With that in mind, Rick Isenhower, Board Member of the Economic Development Corporation, went to work to fill that need for the community.  With his insight into the growth expected for the Lebanon and surrounding areas, especially considering its close proximity to metropolitan Indianapolis, he decided to design an upscale residential area that would address the stated needs.

Through the foresight of County and Community leaders this project began to take shape.  The focus was to create a community that provided all the educational, social and quality of life amenities that make a community feel like home. With that vision came the fruition of Lyn Lea Estates, a 36 acre development – 12 lot estate that is isolated from city traffic, close to the town of Lebanon and only 25 minutes to downtown Indianapolis.

The name of the development, derived from the names of Rick’s two daughters, Haylea & Lyndsey, was created as an important legacy to them as well as supporting the family tradition of respecting the use of land.
